Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is up for theatrical release on the 25th of this month and the promotions are in full swing for the action thriller. Here’s an interesting update on the OTT release plan for Liger.
Vishu Reddy, who plays the antagonist in Liger has confirmed that the film will not be getting early OTT release.
“Liger is a proper theatrical film. It ticks all the boxes to make for a compelling theatrical watch. It isn’t suited for OTT viewing. I can assure you that the film will not arrive on OTT anytime soon. Liger will arrive on OTT at least two months post the theatrical release,” Vishu said.
He adds that the director Puri Jagannadh is still working on the post production in order to better the theatrical experience Liger has to offer.
Well, it is evident that the makers are enforcing a 8-week OTT window for Liger.
Notably, even Tollywood producers guild has decided to enforce 8-weeks OTT release window. Liger could be the first Telugu biggie to enforce the now-standard 8-week no OTT rule.
