Liger Hindi Heavily Depending on WOMRowdy hero, Vijay Deverakonda‘s much-hyped Liger, is slated to hit the screens across South states on August 25 (Thursday). The film’s Hindi version is delayed by one day and will release on August 26, though paid premieres will be starting on August 25 evening.

The trade analysts in the Hindi belts are saying that Liger is expected to start slow on its opening day. The advance bookings for the Hindi version are not up to the mark. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday, along with the entire team of Liger, promoted the film heavily in the Northern market, but the opening might not be in sync with the promotions.

Bollywood trade analysts say that till now, Rs. 40 Lakhs of advance sales have been recorded. The trade is expecting that Liger will open around Rs 3-4 crore in Bollywood. Then, if word of mouth is good, it is sure to pick up.

There is this #BoycottLiger campaign also going on in the north, which will affect the collections if the talk from the premieres turns out to be not so good.

The film is poised to take a solid start at the ticket windows in Telugu states. The advance bookings in the US are also decent. But the Hindi version needs to pick up big time.
