So the theatrical trailers of all the three films clashing on August 11 are out. The best thing about this clash is that all three films cater to three different segments even though they are all commercial entertainers.
The theatrical trailer with the best impact has been without any doubt Nene Raju Nene Mantri. It was an instant winner, and even those who hesitated initially were sold over the time. The extended period has come to its benefit. The second best trailer is that of LIE. It is slick and mounted on a grand scale with gorgeous visuals. Jaya Janaki Nayaka is the last simply because of its template format. But its target audience expects nothing more.
All in all, if we look at the movies now with all the cards revealed, the battle is between, a perfectly set up combination banking on good content (NRNM) versus Nithiin star power (LIE) and lastly brand power (JJN) of director Boyapati Sreenu. Of course, content is the king for all movies, and that will eventually decide the winner, but if the content meets star power, the final number comes out bigger.
Right now all movies are evenly poised offering the right content for the respective target audience. A clash like this hasn’t happened in a long time which makes one keenly look forward to August 11. Here’s wishing all the three films succeed at the same time.
