Lokesh Kanagaraj Prashanth NeelPrashanth Neel became one of the biggest brands as pan-India director after The KGF series. His next film, Salaar, is much-awaited, and trade expects that the film will easily do 1000 crores even with average word-of-mouth.

Lokesh Kanagaraj is also establishing himself as a director who knows the pulse of the class and mass audience equally. With films like Kaithi, Master, and Vikram, he has become a popular director in Tamil and also in Telugu to an extent.

But compared to Prashanth Neel, Lokesh is nowhere when it comes to pan-India appeal. His last two films, Master and Vikram, were washouts in the Northern belts.

So it all boils down to his next project, Leo, which has Vijay in the lead. As Vijay doesn’t have much appeal in the North, it will all depend on Lokesh to deliver a kickass film with Leo and establish himself as a pan-India director.

Some Tamil fans are hyping that Leo will become a bigger success than Salaar in the North, but right now, the combo of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj lags miles behind the Prabhas- Prahsnath Neel combo.
