He came to the city to handover his house in Thipparajuvari Street to Sree Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamiji of Kanchi Matham. A religious man, Balu had decided to give away his house to establish a Sanskrit and Veda Patashala.

Balu had made his announcement a long ago and has handed over the house directly to the Matham the other day. SPB is the Legendary Singer who rendered his voice for 1000s of Songs across the South. He has garnered six National Film Awards for Best Male Playback Singer for his works in four different languages; Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi

He is honored with the Guinness World Record for singing the most film songs (over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages). The Legendary Singer is settled in Chennai and his house in Nellore was locked for several years.

Despite getting several commercial offers for the house, SPB did not yield and came forward to donate the place for a noble cause.
