Music director Devi Sri Prasad has a great track record with his first time combination with a star. We had reported long back post the audio releases of films like 1 Nenokkadine, Veeram and Yevadu etc how the star music director has given a big success whenever he has worked for the first time with any new star. In the past Prabhas’s first big blockbuster was Varsham, later Pawan Kalyan’s big blockbuster after a long gap Jalsa and so on.
Now Devi Sri Prasad has given a grand success to three stars at the same time. The stars are none other than Ram Charan, Mahesh Babu and Ajith. With Ram Charan, Devi Sri Prasad has joined hands for the first time with Yevadu and it has turned out to be the Sankranthi winner despite having a delayed releases. The background score especially given by Devi Sri Prasad is being said as a major highlight of the movie by everyone.
Similarly his other first time combination with Mahesh Babu has although not given an exactly desirable result, the movie still has worked in favor of Mahesh Babu as he has won immense critical appreciation for his performance. Also 1 Nenokkadine has turned out to be the biggest grosser in overseas among all the South Indian films released for the festival. Finally there is Ajith in Tamil cinema, the star has after a long time given back to back super success with his latest release Veeram also turning out to be an outright hit at the box office. This was the first time in any capacity Devi Sri Prasad has worked with the actor.
Keeping all this in mind will Legend be the next big thing at the box office? This Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer is the actor’s first film after a long gap, it is made in the combination Boyapati Sreenu who delivered a blockbuster each with Balakrishna (SImha) and Devi Sri Prasad (Bhadra). Also Legend is produced by 14 Reels entertainment banner that is known to go any extent to create hype for their film. With so many factor coming together along with the DSP’s first time sentiment, is Legend going to be the film that Nandamuri fans have been awaiting for a long time?
