Perfectionist Aamir Khan is making a huge comeback after four years with the remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, titled Laal Singh Chaddha. Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, and Naga Chaitanya form the remaining cast.
The film’s trailer was launched a few days back, and the response has been quite underwhelming. Aamir Khan’s act was heavily trolled as it reminded everyone of his performances in Dhoom 3, PK, and 3 Idiots. Two songs have been released, and both of them received quite a Thanda response from the audience.
Despite a stellar star cast, music by Pritam, Aamir’s comeback hype, huge budget, and classic content, the film has failed to generate any kind of curiosity among the audience.
The film’s release is still two months away, and there is not much content available for the filmmakers to generate hype about the film. Even the trade is expecting a low opening from the film after the poor response to the trailer. This will be a shocker for Bollywood as the industry was depending on this film to revive Bollywood and bring back the conventional audience to the theaters.
The makers might release another trailer, some song videos will come, and the team will plan some promotional tours across the country. But will that be enough to pull the footfalls? Only time will tell.
