Kondapolam is a film that is coming unassumingly despite featuring an actor with a blockbuster on his back and a director with a critically acclaimed body of work. Well, all that is going to change with the trailer.
The trailer of director Krish’s new feature film Kondapolam featuring Uppena fame Viasshnav Tej is out. It comes on the heels of some exquisitely designed posters and soothing numbers. Still, everything has been low key. It is why the trailer is sure to take many by surprise.
As the makers are promoting, Kondapolam is an epic tale of becoming, which in other words mean coming of age. Here, the lead protagonist, Vaisshnav Tej, comes of age as he undertakes the ‘Kondapolam’ activity. It is a tradition of safeguarding cattle in hilly terrain by the locals during specific periods. In the movie, a city dweller Vaisshnav Tej takes that responsibility.
A coming of age tale is not new to Telugu cinema, but the backdrop of Kondapolam sure is exciting. It is the USP of the movie, and it looks like Krish has delivered something special. The director has a knack for coming up with superb trailers and has done it again. One hopes the same energy is reflected in the movie, too.
