Ahead of the 2019 election, a section of Tollywood fraternity actively supported Jagan. But the likes of Mohan Babu, Jeevitha Rajasekhar, 30 years Prudhvi, and others have distanced from the Jagan party. Mohan Babu is heard to be setting the stage to join TDP. Posani is not actively speaking in favor of YCP.
Jagan’s unnecessarily rude stance in ticket prices issue did not sit well with Tollywood. Now, Jagan has given another reason for his loyalists in Tollywood to desert him.
Jagan’s latest decision to rename NTR University after YSR has become an embarrassing act for YCP. Incidentally, Kona Venkat who has been moving closely with YCP has tweeted about the same.
“I’m a great admirer of #DrYSR garu for his contribution to Health & Education.And #NTR garu is our Telugu pride who brought respect & recognition to Telugu people.I don’t see any reason to change “Dr.NTR health University”name.I request @ysjagan garu to rethink his decision” Venkat tweeted.
It is evident that Jagan’s loyalists in Tollywood are also not pleased with his decision. “If Jagan really wants a building named after YSR, he should look to build one. Renaming the iconic NTR University after YSR has become a laughing stock” the commoners comment.
