Khaidi No. 150 Vs Gautamiputra Satakarni - Has The Clash Really Become One SidedHas the clash of the senior stars Nandamuri Balakrishna and Megastar Chiranjeevi become one sided already? If one observes the reactions post the trailer launch yesterday, one has to say in a way it has already.

The perception battle, the prestige battle between the two films has already been won. And it is Krish directed Gautamiputra Satakarni which is the winner. The subject here has done the trick. A fresh original film for landmark film has won over a regular commercial film for the comeback of Megastar. Ram Gopal Varma has hit a home run with the same point, didn’t he?

This was always going to be the problem the moment Chiranjeevi had selected Kaththi for a remake. Besides the curiosity factor associated for the comeback, there is nothing “special” in the choice. What makes matters worse is under the current demonetization scenario even the so called records may not be a possibility.

Imagine a scenario where the film neither gives commercial satisfaction or even critical appreciation and the opposition having a failure but getting big critical acclaim. Who will be the winner in that situation? As things stand today, unless GPS is an utter disaster critically as well as commercially, which might be unlikely, there is no way Khaidi No 150 is going to have upper hand. This is just an educated guess based on available material and genres of both films. Is there any other possibility?
