Like our regional film ‘Baahubali’ another movie ‘KGF’ shook the nation it became a pan-Indian blockbuster. It’s surprising to know that the satellite rights of the movie aren’t sold yet though the movie was released in December 2018.
This came to the notice of many when Karthik Gowda, the creative executive producer of Hombale Films tweeted that KGF was illegally screened by a local Telugu channel and the producers are going to press legal charges on it.
The satellite deal of the movie is in talks and is said to be almost finalised, the producers are unhappy about this illegal streaming before finalising the satellite rights’ deal.
KGF is already available on Amazon Prime and that’s the reason most of us thought that the satellite deal was in place though it was never aired on television.
Before the satellite streaming, there was a lot of demand from the OTT users regarding KGF until it started streaming on Prime.
A telugu local channel named #Every^ is playing KGF film illegally. We will move legally against them and sue for their actions. While the satellite deal is on talks and almost finalised, a cable channel does this. We have ample proof woth screen shots, videos of the same. pic.twitter.com/UlxxguPWzg
