KGF 2 is going on a rampage in the Hindi belt and it has established a new box office record now. KGF 2 has breached the first week collections record which was previously held by Baahubali 2.
KGF 2 has made a sensational Rs 250.50 crores nett in its opening weekend in the Hindi belt, which is the highest ever 1-week tally for any film to date. Previously, Baahubali 2 held the record for highest first-week collections as it made Rs 246 crores nett. But the record now stands with KGF 2. However, KGF 2 can not beat Baahubali 2’s full run in Hindi. Rajamouli’s film will still be number one in Hindi. It has made 510 Cr which is impossible for KGF 2 to touch it.
As for RRR, KGF 2 is set to beat the lifetime collections of RRR in the Hindi belt in just 8 days. While RRR has made over Rs 250 crores in Hindi till now, KGF 2 has already made Rs 250 crores in its first week itself.
KGF 2 is clearly taking the Hindi box office by storm and it remains to be seen how today’s release, Jersey featuring Shahid Kapoor will fare in the Hindi belt. The film has opened to positive reviews but can it withstand the strong KGF 2 wave? We have to wait and see.
