KGF is a film that brought Kannada cinema into the limelight. Yash also created a decent fan following in the country with this film. Now, KGF Chapter 2 will be out on the 14th of April and the release has been confirmed.
But Vijay‘s Beast directed by Nelson Dilip Kumar has also been confirmed for its release on the same date. This is surely the clash of the titans but the folks in the trade feel that Vijay and his film are having a slight disadvantage.
Will this clash be averted is the big question. KGF 2 will surely slow down in Tamil Nadu due to Vijay’s popularity. But when it comes to a release on Pan-India level, Yash and his film have a clear advantage.
Yash has created a good market India wide but Vijay is confined to the local market. He is now slowly creating a market in Telugu but when it comes to north India, Vijay has nothing.
So, one can say that it is better Vijay change his release date and postpone his film. Will Vijay do that and avert the clash with Yash or go ahead and prove that he is one of the biggest stars in the south, let’s see what happens.
