KGF 2 was tipped to be a box office monster all along and in accordance, the film is going on a rampage at the box office. In fact, it is now in pole position to easily beat RRR in the Hindi belt.
KGF 2 reportedly made Rs 53 crores on its opening day in the Hindi circuit, which is the highest ever for any Indian film till date. It then registered an exceptional second day as well, collecting a mighty impressive Rs 43-44 crores. KGF 2’s overall tally in the Hindi belt is around Rs 96 crores now.
Meanwhile, RRR is on course to beat Kashmir Files and emerge as the biggest box office hit of the year. As per estimates, RRR might end up collecting in the range of Rs 260-270 crores nett in its full run in the Hindi circuit.
But it will only be a matter of time before KGF 2, which might end up collecting Rs 170 crores nett in its opening weekend itself, breaches RRR’s tally. KGF 2 will emerge as the biggest box office blockbuster of 2022 very soon, in all likelihood.
On the other hand, Vijay’s Beast, which was also released in Hindi has collected less than Rs 1 crore nett in 3 days. The film isn’t even being recognized at the box office.
