Ram Gopal Varma‘s credibility as a filmmaker was long gone. He had some standing on social media where his followers used to give him some reach because of his weird yet logical statements sometimes. But that reach is also gone now after he openly exposed himself as a TDP troll who is on the YSRCP payroll.
After his agenda-driven targeting of Chandrababu Naidu, Lokesh, and even Pawan Kalyan, a small section of people who used to like and share his posts also distanced themselves.

Recently, Oscar winner MM Keeravani spoke with noted journalist Baradwaj Rangan in his first interview after his Oscar win. During the interview, MM Keeravani recalled the early 90s when RGV gave him a chance to score music in Kshana Kshanam.
Keeravani said that Ram Gopal Varma, the director of Shiva, gave me a chance to work with him. RGV had just scored the mega-hit Shiva in his career and he could’ve picked anyone in the industry, but he chose Keeravani for Kshana Kshanam.

Keeravani said many in the industry later gave him opportunities trusting RGV’s belief in him. So, it was RGV who gave him my first Oscar. The one that I won in the US is my second Oscar.
Now Ram Gopal Varma is sharing this part from the interview video on his social media accounts and promoting himself. After many years, a noted celebrity has said something good about Ramu and he is trying to give some push to his brand making use of Keeravani’s words.

But people have already moved on from RGV and they don’t seem to care much about this once-upon-a-time visionary now reduced to just a troll.
