KCR forced to give jobs to Andhraites!Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s agenda of providing government jobs to Telanganites is not going in the right direction due to the frills in the constitution. The government as if starts filling the vacant government jobs in Hyderabad, majority of the beneficiaries are Andhraites due to Presidential Order under Article 371 (D) being in force.

According to the Presidential Order issued under the provisions of Article 371 (D) in 1975, Hyderabad is a zone comprising five districts, including Ranga Reddy, Medak, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Nizamabad. As per the order, no applicant from outside these districts is eligible to get a government job in this zone.

Currently this zone has 50% of population from Seema Andhra. They have local status of Telangana according to Article 371 (D) which says person who has studied for six years continuously in a particular zone is eligible to apply for the jobs there. As a result, there is a clear chance of people from Seemandhra bagging more than 50 per cent of the jobs in the Hyderabad zone unless the existing rules are amended,
