The D-day is here. Pawan Kalyan’s Katamarayudu is all set for a smooth and record release in the US. All the drives have arrived in time, and there won’t be a delay anywhere in premieres. So, what is the right target and what is the actual potential?
Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is without any doubt amongst the biggest stars when it comes to the US. The fact that we are even discussing the possibility of a record premiere number with a film like Katamarayudu is a testament to his stardom. Anyone else coming with a movie of this genre would be as good as Dead on Arrival itself.
Coming to Katamarayudu, looking at its genre a right target for premiere number would obviously be Sardaar Gabbar Singh ($616 K). However, as Katamarayudu will begin its shows much earlier and will be more in number, good occupancy will take it to a $100K higher. It should be a reasonable expectation. The actual potential is enormous as a record release is in place for the mass entertainer. But the occupancy and the final number would depend on the real talk. That’s when comparison with Khaidi No 150 will start.
