Senior actress Kasthuri who romanced Nagarjuna in his devotional drama ‘Annamayya’ besides Ramya Krishna, had been in the news for her occasional controversial tweets. This time, she dragged another senior actress Latha into the mire along with Tamilians screen God MGR with her tweet.
It was just an IPL match in which Chennai Super Kings were playing. She tweeted on the match saying that they were playing with the balls like MGR romanced with Latha in his ‘Paandu Vazhga’. Comparing the cricketers’ way of handling the ball to MGR-Latha romance in the movie has created a controversy as the tweet looked a bit vulgar and defaming. The actress was condemned for demeaning a legend and also commenting on a female actor while she also happens to be an actress.
Apart from the wrath she invited from MGR’s fans and senior actress Latha, Kasthuri was served with a notice from Nadigar Sangham. For the Telugu audiences, Latha is the voluptuous actress who we had seen in Bapu-Ramana’s ‘Andala Ramudu’ starring legendary Akkineni Nageshwar Rao in the lead.
