Karthi, Suriya’s brother needs no introduction to the Telugu audience. Though his films haven’t fared as well as his brother’s, he has become quite familiar with the Telugu audience with most of his Tamil films getting simultaneous releases in Telugu as well. Karthi’s upcoming film, which was earlier buzzed to be titled ‘Kaali’, is now being named ‘Madras’. Sources say that the plot of the movie revolves around a problem and how Karthi’s character saves all his friends.
Catherine Teresa, of ‘Iddarammayilatho’ fame which featured Allu Arjun in lead role, is making her Tamil debut with this movie. Catherine was last seen in ‘Paisa’ but the film didn’t work for anyone’s favor and the only other Telugu film lined up for her is director Gunasekhar’s long pending film ‘Rudramadevi’ in which she has a small role.
Just like Karthi’s other films, we may expect to have a Telugu release for ‘Madras’ as well but we will have to see if makers will stick to the same title as Karthi did it with some of his previous films.
