Guntur is the third biggest area in Telugu cinema trade after Nizam and Uttarandhra region. Top hero’s movie register an approximate share of 2-2.5 Crores share in the opening week. Earlier, Karnataka Government used to impose restriction on number of theaters for other industry movies. Recently it had lifted them which enabled Ram Charan’s Racha to release in 110 theaters and NTR’s Dammu to release in a whopping 150 theaters.
Racha had collected 2Crore share in its opening week and Dammu is all set to collect some where near 3Crore share in the first week which will be more or less equal to Guntur collection. Telugu people are spread out all over the state and the Telugu movies have garnered enough interest in local people too to take them to theaters. This trend will be a major boost to Telugu cinema trade which is increasing in leaps and bounds from movie to movie.
