Kareena Kapoor is being considered opposite Akshay Kumar in the Hindi remake of Tagore. According to a close source to the film’s unit, Kareena is most likely to star in the remake, which is expected to go on floors soon. She is being considered for the role originally played by Jyothika in the Telugu version and Simran in the Tamil version.
The film was originally made in Tamil as Ramanna, which she remains as one of the biggest hits in the career of its director A.R Murugadoss. The Hindi version will be produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, while Shraddha Kapoor is also being considered to essay the role originally played by Shriya Saran.
Krish is yet to confirm the news. He adds that nothing has been finalized and that he can’t comment further until the news has been finalized on papers. He says that they are in the pre-production phase now and are expected to go on floors by year end.
Meanwhile, Krish, who got busy directing a television serial, will also team up with Mahesh Babu for a project titled Shivam, which will also feature Sonakshi Sinha.
