Let me be clear that Tollywood doesn’t mean Telugu Film Industry in this article. Even Bengali Film Industry is called Tollywood. One of the Tollywood actresses by name Kanchana Moitra was grabbed, molested and made to do 40 sit-ups on the road allegedly by three drunken men.
The actress was returning home in her car from one of her film’s shooting. It was past midnight. Then, her car hit upon something hard and stopped. Two drunken men took away her keys and didn’t listen to the pleas of the actress and her driver. The third one joined those two men who grabbed her by the shoulder and demanded her to do 40 sit-ups on the road.
Reporting this horrific incident to the police, the actress filed a complaint on the three men who harassed her. Two were arrested by the police and the search for the third defaulter is on. This incident reflects the failure of the vigilance during the late hours. Such incidents keep surfacing as women are thought to be easy targets by the cheap minds.
