Kamma Writer's Caste Discussion On TV ShowCelebrated screenwriter and Rajamouli’s father KV Vijayendra Prasad made a tongue-in-cheek remark on ‘caste’. While the topic has always been a taboo of discussion but the screenwriter said in a jest way which also ropes in Chiranjeevi.

KV Vijayendra Prasad made an appearance on a popular celebrity talk show where he revealed that he hails from Kamma caste but he never asked about his late wife’s caste. He knew that she belonged to a different cast other than Kamma, but he never felt like asking her about it.

“One fine day, she addressed Chiranjeevi as ‘Ma Chiranjeevi’, to which I was curious and asked her what she meant by adding ‘Ma Chiranjeevi’. To this she revealed she belongs to Kapu caste, so she addressed Chiranjeevi like that,” KV Vijayendra Prasad laughed off as he said this.

Talking about his late wife, KV Vijayendra Prasad became emotional, stating that she slipped into coma for six-months. She passed away after a heart stroke. Although she saw a little of Rajamouli’s success but had she been there after Baahubali, it would have been a bigger moment, says the screenwriter.

KV Vijayendra Prasad has not only penned the script for RRR, but has also penned the biography Thalaivi starring Kangana Ranaut.
