Rajnikanth-Kamal-Haasan-unseen

Drishyam, the Malayalam Industry Hit, is back in news again and this time it’s for the Tamil version of the film which will star Kamal Haasan in the lead. The Tamil remake will be directed by Jeetu Joseph who had directed the original in Malayalam. Speaking on the director revealed a shocker. He said that Superstar Rajinikanth was initially interested to do the film but eventually Kamal Haasan came in his place, unlike Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan was initially reluctant to do the film.

What is interesting here is that something similar had happened for the Malayalam version of the film. When the film was initially planned Mammootty was expected to play the lead role in the film but it couldn’t materialize and in came Mohanlal in his place which means one Superstar replaced by other. Something similar is happening with the Tamil version as well. Will the history repeat only time will tell, meanwhile Venkatesh is getting ready to reprise the role in Telugu remake of the film.
