It has been 30 years since superstar Rajnikanth and universal star Kamal Haasan did a film together. The last multi-starrer film they were both a part of was in 1985, a Hindi film ‘Geraftar’. Hence the duo’s fans were excited that the two stars are going to do a Shankar’s film together.
According to the latest buzz, Kamal Haasan declined the offer to star alongside Rajnikanth. The reason isn’t Rajnikanth say the insiders. If sources are to be believed there are two arguments coming up for Kamal’s decision not to do Shankar’s film.
First reason is the role Kamal was offered. Buzz says, Kamal was asked to play the villain in the movie and the second reason is, universal star wasn’t happy with the remuneration offered to him. Kamal’s huge remuneration has become a big road block because the producers of the project aren’t in a position to comply with it as of now.
There are once again two issues. Will Kamal back away from taking up a challenging role like a villain? Are money prospects more important when it comes to choosing an ambitious project? Kamal’s fans may not think so but if such an oppurtunity is laid down only for money, working out this great combination would be almost impossible in future. What say?
