kamal hassan another movie with lingusamyThere had been many pre-release tensions for Kamal Haasan’s ‘Uttama Villain’, and the superstar had to finally commit for another film to make the release possible though a day later on Saturday. Producer C.Kalyan who bought the Telugu rights of the film was naturally very concerned when the movie’s release got delayed.

He says that he is naive to the financial issues the original producers got enangled in. The film is said to be in Rs.40 crore debt and since the film’s release got delayed by one day, Kalyan incurred Rs.2 crore losses. After overcoming the legal hurdles, industry people thought the path was clear for the film.

Only in the last minute, producer Linguswamy opened up on financiers not allowing to permit the film’s release. Big cine outfits like producer’s council, South Indian Film Chamber had to come into the scene to sort out the issue and finally Kamal had to commit doing another film with Linguswamy.
