Kamal Haasan idolizes and worships his mentor K. Balachander, who is also known for introducing talented actors such as Rajinikanth, Radhika and even Saritha. Balachander has directed Kamal Haasan in about 20 films, but for the first time he is likely to act alongside him in his next film ‘Uthama Villain’.
Kamal, who has written the script of the film, will be playing an ageing superstar in the film and Balachander is expected to reprise his own self on screen as Kamal’s mentor. Kamal will be teaming up with his long time Crazy Mohan, who will pen the dialogues for the film. Mohan had previously worked on Haasan’s films such as Michael Madana Kamarajan, Avvai Shanmugi and Panchatanthiram.
The film will be simultaneously made in Tamil and Kannada. Kamal’s best friend Ramesh Aravind will direct it and we are yet to find out who will play the lead heroine’s part in the film.
