The title announcement video of legendary actor Kamal Haasan’s next was unveiled grandly on the occasion of his birthday. The response to Vikram has been a phenomenal one than is usually seen with other recent movies of the star. It has already clocked 4 million views.
The happiness with the sensational reception to the title is continuing among the fans, but they had a headache to face instantly. Like with many other recent biggies, the movie lovers were quick to point out the copies in the video.
The concept of the title video and the outstanding background score by Anirudh are under the scanner. The former is pretty close when compared to the original. However, with the BGM, there is a similarity, but on close observation, one can see the difference. Also, the ending bit is a homage to the original Vikram starring Kamal Haasan that came out many decades ago.
Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is immensely talented. His first two films, Maanagaram and Khaithi, have won both critical acclaim and commercial success. Kamal Haasan fans are hoping that he would do the same with their idol. It has been ages since a movie featuring Kamal Haasan created hysteria at the box office.
Lokesh Kanagaraj will start the shooting of Vikram, soon. He also has Vijay’s Master waiting to hit the screens.
