Kamal Haasan - First Hero from South to Respond on PadmavatiPadmavati’, the film that has been the centre of controversies ever since its announcement, is getting sympathetic responses from actors all over India. A little while ago, Prabhas’s Saaho actress Shraddha Kapoor called the situation quite unfortunate. Now, veteran actor Kamal Haasan has spoken up about the problems being faced by the film.

The movie, which has been accused of distorting history, has come across a lot of problems and protests. Some religious groups, that have alleged that the film contains some offensive scenes, have even threatened the lead actor of the film, Deepika Padukone. Taking all this into consideration, Kamal Hassan has said that people of India are being “oversensitive” about this Sanjay Leela Bhansali period film.

The actor who had faced similar problems at the release of his film ‘Vishwaroopam’ has criticized people for making judgments even before watching the film. He stated that, “I haven’t seen [Padmavati]. Nobody saw ‘Vishwaroopam’ still they wanted me banned. It’s wrong. It should come out and if then there is something then I can understand.”

Meanwhile, the film is getting support from cinema associated groups like IFTDA (Indian Films and TV Directors’ Association). A 15-minute blackout has been decided upon for tomorrow and at least 20 such groups will be partaking in this blackout.
