Kajal-Aggarwal-Faces-Backlash-in-the-High-CourtUnhappy with the judgment given by the single-judge court, Kajal Aggarwal made an appeal to the Madras High Court against the order. In the earlier case, the single-judge court ordered that VVD & Sons Pvt. Ltd as the copyright owner of promotional films she had acted in.

But, Kajal Aggarwal’s lawyer argued that the agreement will be valid for only one year and later on, it is copyright infringement and hence, the actress must be paid a huge amount as compensation for using the promotional material featuring Kajal Aggarwal. But, the above-mentioned coconut oil manufacturing firm is the first owner of the copyright of the promotional film.

Reiterating the same order, the Madras High Court dismissed Kajal Aggarwal’s case against the single-judge court’s order and said that she needn’t be paid any compensation as the copyright will be valid for 60 years.
