That a foreign face has been sought after as villain in Superstar Rajinikanth’s new film Kabali is known to all and sundry by now. Names like Jet Li, Chow Yun Fat, and Winston Chao etc were thrown around and now we have a winner among them.
The makers of Kabali have locked Taiwanese actor Winston Chao to be the villain in the highly awaited action drama. Superstar as we all know will be seen essaying the role of a Don in the film. It would be interesting to see an equally powerful star as a villain opposite him.
Besides Winston Chao, the film is already filled with many local names from Malaysian films. It is running the risk of now looking too foreign for local audience. But with Pa Ranjith at helm that surely wouldn’t be a problem one hopes.
