Rumours started spreading that Kavithaalaya Productions and the residence of a renowned filmmaker and producer are going to be auctioned by a public sector bank owing to the dues that are pending after the death of the veteran.
However, these rumours are denied by the production house in the latest press release. There are many admirers of ace filmmaker K Balachander who also bankrolled many super hit films including Rajinikanth’s and Kamal Haasan’s movies under his production house Kavithaalaya Productions.
The production house hasn’t produced any films after the demise of the veteran in 2014. The above said public sector bank issued a notice of auction in accordance with their procedures while the negotiations regarding the outstanding debt were still going on between the bank and the production house. Meanwhile, these rumours surfaced causing the damage to the reputation of the production house.
