Renowned Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who is currently serving his time in prison, will star in famous south director K S Ravikumar’s first Hindi film ‘Policegiri’. The actor who was convicted for illegally possessing firearms during the 1993 serial blasts case was sentenced to five years of imprisonment and he is at present doing the remaining three years of his sentence in Pune’s Yerwada jail.

In a recent trailer released by makers NTR’s cut out appeared in the background in a fight scene. Coincidentally ‘Policegiri’ is a remake of Balakrishna’s Telugu film ‘Lakshmi Narasimha’.

The director in a talk gave his views on the movie and the well-experienced actor. Praising the actor he said that Dutt is a great performer and most of the times gave his shots in a single take. He called him the “director’s artist” and said that even though being the experienced actor, he didn’t question the director’s vision.

Ravikumar also said that Sanjay Dutt seemed to be glad about the way ‘Policegiri’ shaped up and he wishes that the film does a business of Rs 100 crores.
