There is one character in Nithin’s ‘Gundejaari Gallanthayyinde’ that audiences would never forget and that’s the gay character he essayed for the movie. It became so popular that Josh Ravi is today identified with that gay role rather than his other super hit comedy roles.
Josh Ravi said in a recent interview that he got 29 offers asking him to play the gay role. But then, he rejected all of them. As an actor, he wants to essay different roles and not wanted to be stamped as the gay character specialist. However, he did one more gay role for Nithin’s movie again out of respect for giving him a super hit film.
He was even asked for Sunil’s last release ‘Ungarala Rambabu’. But, Josh Ravi didn’t want to be typecast and hence, rejected it. The comedian says that his other roles too got a lot of applause and that’s how he is called with the name of his movie ‘Josh’ for which he got recognition as an actor.
