Gautham Tinnanuri is going to Bollywood with the Hindi remake of ‘Jersey‘ with none other than ‘Kabir Singh’ star Shahid Kapoor playing the lead getting into Nani’s shoes. Now, the director has found his heroine.
Mrunal Thakur, the pretty face that was once popular with television audiences and then, got into big movies like ‘Super 30’ with Bollywood Greek God Hrithik Roshan and ‘Batla House’ with John Abraham, is finalized for the heroine role that was played by Shraddha Srinath in the original.
She is naturally super excited to play the role and also share the screen space with Shahid Kapoor. The actress said that she watched the movie twice, and the first time, the effect of the movie was there in her heart the entire night which made her watch it again the next day.
Gautham Tinnanuri says that he had only Mrunal Thakur in his mind as the heroine of his film. Those who have seen the actress’ body of work can easily understand that she can be a perfect fit to play a homely wife with the variations the character needs at various stages of the story.
