The opening day numbers of Jawaan are out, and with it, the position of Sai Dharam Tej has come down a bit. The situation is regarding the place in the second league of heroes where multiple actors are giving a tough fight to one another.
Jawaan has got an opening of around 3 Cr and little more. It is a comedown for Sai Dharam Tej as his last film Winner was above 4 Cr. The problem here is he has no breathing gap with Nani coming with a release in few weeks. His MCA is sure to open bigger, and that would increase the difference between him and the rest.
Sure, Jawaan is a weak film and with no combination value, but that has been the case with Nani all the way. The actor has grown in stature by working with mostly newcomers and delivering in entertaining content. Both are doing the routine, but Nani at least can give fresh coating whereas Sai Dharam Tej is doing out-dated tripe.
It is high time, Sai Dharam Tej improved on his script selection and trusted content more than the combination. His next is with VV Vinayak, so there is no hope. One only wishes he changes the path in selecting subject’s right after that movie.
