US market is considered to be one of the most lucrative markets for Telugu audience. There are a huge number of Telugu folks who await to watch some meaningful films and stay connected to India.
But mostly, it is the class films which have the cut above the rest and hardcore masala entertainers have a less chance as the films are filled with action which the family audience in the US do not prefer.
One such film which has changed the game is the recent release Janatha Garage. Even though the film received a lot of mixed reviews it has done well and has crossed the one and half million mark in the US. But sadly, Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu which falls in the same zone of commercial entertainers failed to click there.
Surprisingly, Sarrainodu also got some mixed reviews but couldn’t even cross the one million mark in spite of having a star like Allu Arjun. But looks like Mohan Lal and NTR’s fresh combo has worked well and as the Koratala Shiva’s last film Srimanthudu had a universal appeal it helps things much.
All the above such factors have pushed Janatha Garage ahead of Sarrainodu and is making merry at both Indian and overseas box office.
