'Jai Ho' manages to create an impact
Critics called it a dud as Salman Khan’s ‘Jai Ho’ had a very poor opening day collection of only INR 17 crore. But the film has slowly created an impact, showing a big jump on Sunday and managed to join the INR 100 crore club in the opening weekend worldwide. While we can’t still call the film a blockbuster but it didn’t sink like everybody expected, especially the critics.

On Sunday, the film collected a whopping INR 25 crore in India, taking the nation wide opening weekend total to a nett of INR 60 crore and above. Overseas, it managed to open strong and raking in approximately INR 22 crore in the opening weekend. While Salman Khan may have taken the blame for the film’s failure, but it seems to be doing fine at the box-office.

The reason people are calling ‘Jai Ho’ a flop because it released in over 5000 screens worldwide and could have easily crossed the INR 50 crore mark on release day in the country. But nevertheless the film managed to break even and also make some extra money for the producers.
