YSR Congress president YS Jaganmohan Reddy was in a soup as he landed in trouble by visiting the Lord Venkateshwara temple in Tirupati. YS Jagan who is a Christian, allegedly refused to sign the declaration kept for non-Hindu visitors which states that he is visiting the Lord by respecting the faith of Hinduism. What worser than that is Reddy was accompanied by 60 followers, who allegedly raised ‘Jai Jagan’ slogans on the temple premises.

Officials of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD), which manages the affairs of the temple, said Reddy argued there was no need for him to sign the register as he had signed it last in 2009.He also reminded them that his father, former chief minister late YS Rajasekhara Reddy, had offered silk clothes and gifts to the deity. However, the latest fact unearthed is Jagan’s father YSR had also refused to sign the declaration then.

One more dirty angle in this saga is Jagan’s Tirupati visit came just after the criticism of Opposition Leader Chandra Babu Naidu that Jagan has no faith in Hinduism. When alive, YSR was also in controversy as his Government allegedly passes a GO stating only 2 of the total 7 hills in Tirupati belong to Lord Balaji.
