Nikhil delivered the biggest blockbuster of his career with Karthikeya 2. The film’s unexpected success was mainly due to its Hindu-friendly content and engaging screenplay. The film ran riot not only in Telugu states but also in the Hindi belt.
Now he is coming up with a romantic film, 18 Pages. Directed by Palnati Surya Pratap, the movie is scheduled to hit the screens on December 23. But the hype around the film is too less, as of now.
It’s time for Nikhil to wake up and start promoting the film in a big way. He can’t afford to take it easy this time just because it is the follow-up film to Karthikeya 2. That film was unique, while 18 Pages is a regular film. This film needs proper promotions and hype to drag the audience to the theaters.
If the film doesn’t generate enough hype, then there is a chance that the audience might dismiss it as another ‘Will-Watch-It-on-OTT’ kinda film. 18 Pages is a critical film for Nikhil as he has to keep up the momentum given by Karthikeya 2, or else the push given by that film will go in vain.
His Karthikeya 2 co-star, Anupama Parameswaran, plays the female lead. Top director Sukumar has penned the story, and he also produced the movie under Sukumar’s Writings along with GA2 Pictures.
