Its Gloom for Tollywood After Sankranthi

Vijay Deverakonda’s World Famous Lover had taken a decent opening on its release day. But the talk and reviews are negative and they are already taking a toll on the film. The movie is registering horrendous collections even on its first weekend. A majority of the collections which we see are due to the advance bookings only.

This also means that there is no hit in Tollywood after Sankranthi. World Famous Lover is the fifth consecutive disaster for Tollywood after the release of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo on January 12th. Entha Manchivaadavura, Disco Raja, Aswathama, and Jaanu have failed to impress the audience and now, World Famous Lover is added to the list.

Several small films have also released and failed to make any impact. This is also the second disaster on a trot for Vijay Deverakonda. The movie’s Business has come around 29 Crore and a solid 19 Crore loss is likely on cards.

The trade is looking forward to Bheeshma and Hit releasing later this month for the first hit post-Sankranthi.
