Priyanka Chopra has crossed boundaries and she is one of those very few actresses who broke many conventions regarding dusky girls who were considered imperfect because of their bodies and skin colour. In her book ‘Unfinished’, Priyanka shared some candid incidents that happened at the beginning of her career.
In one incident, the producer asked her to wear a dress so that her panties must be visible and Priyanka exited from the film because she didn’t like him treating her as a commodity though she knew that her character was just like a temptress in the movie.
Priyanka Chopra had to pay back the money to the producer because she already shot for two days. But, the money she paid was equal to the amount that weeks of work would have fetched her. Priyanka referred to as a dusky girl and the ordeals she faced were also mentioned in the book.
In another incident, a director asked her to go for breast enhancements and also get her shape fixed with all the measurements he thought were required to have a perfect physique according to the so called norms back then.
