Another week and another round of wildfire buzz have spread online regarding the OTT release plans of Radhe Shyam. Unfortunately, this back to back pressing of the same topic is not sending the right signals for the fans.
The fans of any star want their favourite hero movie to release grandly, theatrically. They want to savour the experience on the big screen. It is no different for Prabhas fans, who want to witness the epic love story on the nearest screens possible.
However, the makers have a lot of calculations on their mind, finally, which the fans could never grasp. It is keeping in mind these situations they take the decision rather than riding on emotions.
So, when the buzz related to simultaneous OTT and theatrical release of Radhe Shyam comes out, it sends out the wrong signal to fans. It is as if the makers are sending feelers to find out the general mood and response.
Under the current scenario, it could be a good decision to go the simultaneous release way. We don’t have any clarity on when cinemas will open. And even if they are, questions arise regarding the occupancy. A film like Radhe Shyam can’t come out with a fifty percent rule in place.
If Radhe Shyam is delayed, it faces stiff competition with other biggies, curtailing its run at the box office. Also, the makers can’t push it far ahead (or sit on it) as Prabhas has multiple films. So it could be better for everyone involved to see Radhe Shyam come out earlier.
