The government had allotted 592 acres of land at Madannapalem village in Statyavedu mandal of Chittoor district. The land is already in the possession of APIIC. The Manufacturing plant, first in South India will provide 15000 jobs direct and indirect.

On the other side, Japanese auto major Isuzu also confirmed to the Chief Minister that it will commence operations at its Sri City plant by April 2016. Isuzu will manufacture pickup trucks at its Sri City facility and will be pumping Rs 1,500 crore into the project.

In the meeting, Isuzu India Managing Director Takashi Kikuchi informed the CM that nearly 75 suppliers are keen to invest in Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu promptly promised to come up with a a policy for ancillary industries in its next cabinet meeting.
