Well, here is an instance of the makers of the movie taking the character and title of the movie way too seriously and doing something in that vein. We are talking about the upcoming summer attraction iSmart Shankar which has Ram in the title role.
The movie is said to be about the over smart thinking Hyderabadi local youth that shows or exhibit dual identities. It has an impressive set up with that very local characterization. Keeping in tune with the character of the film, the director is also trying to be over smart. Puri Jagannadh and producer Charmee has registered a sequel title named Double iSmart even for the release of iSmart Shankar.
Now, we have to guess who is being over smart here, the director who is setting up for the sequel by already registering a title or the lead actor who is going with it, without knowing about the reception of the first movie, to begin with. One need not be that smart to guess who is being over smart here? Keeping the smartness factor aside, if its all about the publicity the makers surely are on target.
