iSmart’s Too Much Telangana Accent Works in Andhra?

Ram Pothineni’s iSmart Shankar starring Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal as female leads, is all set for a release on 18th July with sensor to give a green signal yet. The film is going to be an out and out mass entertainer which is coming after a long time and hence is a very crucial one for the director, Puri and the hero Ram.

Ram’s role carried a strong Telangana accent throughout the film and we saw the same in the trailer too. Also, Puri feels the Telangana accent of Ram is a big asset to the film. Of course, that might be an advantage and go well in Telangana but will it work in Andhra? This is what one of the distributors asked Puri as the director says.

The man doubted of Andhra audience would understand such strong language and hence it might draw only fewer collections there. But Puri is not at all worried about that as he says, while Andhra films are doing very well in Telangana, there shouldn’t be any issue with Telangana films in Andhra as the audience watch for the content no matter what language the film is. Well, that we will see after the release.
