Is-Vijay-Deverakonda-Performance-Getting-Repetitive-Too-SoonAfter getting a breakthrough with Pelli Choopulu, Vijay Deverakonda has acted in seven films. Dear Comrade, his latest release in 2019, is his eight one in four years period. It is a short career, but is the performance of Vijay Deverakonda already getting repetitive?

Before we come to the point, let us clear one thing. The ‘acting’ is not bad. It is good, and there is a lot of intensity too. The issue here is about the dejavu feeling, the lack of surprise and laidback laziness reflected in the body language via acting, in general.

Everyone who has seen Dear Comrade has the same thing to say when it comes to Vijay Deverakonda’s acting, that there is nothing new or fresh. That he is just repeating himself. The aggressive part is Arjun Reddy, and the normal ones are Geetha Govindam. It reminds one of copy-paste works.

While ‘repetition’ is true for every star, it wasn’t the case with them so early in their career. Take the case of Mahesh Babu, who is currently going through such a phase. It has come after many movies and years in the industry. He is a multiple award winner, and people expect something fresh from him which he can and has delivered in the past.

With Vijay Deverakonda, it seems too soon. Also, the utter lack of focus on the dialogue delivery where he is not able to improve his Telugu diction is sooner or later going to hurt him. He did promise to change it with Dear Comrade, but that was nowhere to be seen. As Vijay Deverakonda is known to take up criticism in the right spirit and work on it, we hope he takes stock of the situation immediately.
