Chanda Khan aka Fauzia from Pakistan was caught on Samjhautha Express traveling illegally without visa papers, ticket or any other family with her. After being caught by police, she said that she is mad after Bollywood superstars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan and hence came to meet them in person.
When the initial reports on media talked about her crazy act, presently police are suspicious on her intentions. She could probably be a terrorist, a spy in particular in the guise of a fan. What led police to suspect her? Chanda Khan’s confidence and the story how her maternal uncle disappeared from a railway station.
More than her believable story, it’s the fact that she could travel to Jalandhar illegally inspite of heavy security is posing a big question to the authorities. Chanda Khan’s arrest bears open the security lapses in the border areas and one can imagine how big is going to be the terrorists’ threat to the country.
If we could remember, she initially asked police to take her to the superstars or send her to Pakistan. If not possible, shoot her. Is there something to read beyond the lines? Is she really a terrorists’ spy sent to India? More such questions might arise as the interrogation progresses.
