Sania helping telangna_state

There had been two events recently for which the State took pride in. One is the celebration of State festival Bathukamma and the other one is the ongoing 11th season of Metropolis Meet in Hyderabad. At such events what one expects is that the State Ambassador would be busy promoting the State brand. But Sania Mirza who was appointed as T-State brand ambassador was found no where during these two big events. But she will soon be seen walking the ramp at the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week which started in Delhi on Wednesday this week.

Since her appointment as T-State Brand Ambassador, Sania has been really doing well in sports and winning medals for the country. She has been active on twitter promoting PETA, tweeting on Modi’s Swacch Bharat Campaign and endorsing a chocolate brand even. Besides these, she even became cover page personality for a reputed magazine.

Admist all this, there wasn’t even one occasion on which Sania Mirza promoted Brand Telangana either by way social networking sites or by publicly promoting them while she is playing international matches or while attending other activities at global level. For being a Brand Ambassador, she received an incentive of Rs.1 crore and when she won the mixed doubles US Open title in September, the State government announced an additional 1 crore.

After two months, people see that she had a global platform to endorse Telangana brand during her achievements for the country. But she used neither. Her emotional connect is being questioned when she didn’t turn up for Bathukamma celebrations. Her regional connect is being talked about when she is missing the global platform of World Metropolis Congress. Overall, thequestion which arises by default is ‘Is Sanial doing enough for Brand Telangana? ‘
