Its been around two months since the release of Acharya and the issue is still hot and boiling. The buyers are all around Koratala Siva the director demanding a settlement and the talks are still inconclusive.
While the issue is such, the common man is still confused why the producers – Niranjan Reddy and Chiranjeevi/Charan are not in the picture and Koratala is doing all the lifting.
Here is what we hear from our sources.
The actual producer of the film is Niranjan Reddy. Konidela Production Company is involved with the remunerations of Chiranjeevi and Charan.
Koratala Siva had taken over the entire project from Niranjan Reddy paying him a premium of 4 Crore over his investment in the project.
So, it is Koratala Siva’s film and he did the business. It is just that he is not publicized as the owner (Producer).
Koratala ‘may’ have pooled in all his savings, investments, and future advances to pay to Niranjan Reddy and will obviously struggle to give the compensation to the buyers.
Chiranjeevi and Charan quoted 50 Crore together for the film. They were paid 30 Crore before the release. They had let go of the remaining 20 Crore to ease the burden on the project/Koratala Siva.
This is a deal between four high-profile persons – Niranjan Reddy, Chiranjeevi, Koratala Siva, and Ram Charan. There is a chance that a fifth person may not know what exactly happened. But this version sounds believable going by what is happening.
And this also means Koratala Siva is in neck-deep trouble and all this is self-inflicted.
